5 cool new Android launchers and interface tools (July)
If you put enough time and effort, they say, you can tailor every Android phone to serve your unique interests and interface layout, and third-party launchers like Nova, Apex and the like, have proved it time and again.

Every once in a while, a new launcher appears that promises a paradigm shift in interacting with our mobile devices, utilizing innovative gesture-based or side-sliding launch tech, and some of them are even donning amazing graphics and extra functionality.

We took a glimpse at what's new and cool or updated fine at the Play Store in the interface draping department for the fortnight, and noticed a few launchers and interface tools that you might find useful, or at least funky to try out. Check them out below.

KISS Launcher

Requiring "nearly no memory to run," the new KISS launcher has nothing to do with the excesses of the ancient rock band. It takes less than 100kb, is optimized for minimal toll on the battery, and bets simply on search to find anything you need, without resorting to elaborate functions and widgets.

Trring Lockscreen

Feeling nostalgic about your old rotary phone? Well, it not only slides you down memory lane, but the new Trring lock screen app uses rotary style graphics so that you can access your regular tasks without worrying about any accidental touches on your phone. Launch any app, call your friend/relative, or even toggle settings like Wifi, Bluetooth, Flashlight, etc. straight from the lockscreen.

MaterialRound Multilauncher

MaterialRound is a quality HD theme for the most popular Android launchers (Next Launcher 3D, Smart Launcher, Nova Launcher, Action Launcher, ADW Launcher, Holo Launcher, Apex Launcher, SOLO Launcher, TSF Shell, Mini Launcher, Epic Launcher, Kcin Launcher and Go Launcher), that uses Google's newest Material Design guidelines in a pretty rounded format. It includes 10 1080p backgrounds, 435+ icons, and more.

Elesento - Parental control

This kid-safe launcher limits the access to the entertainment applications on Android devices. To play a game or chat on Facebook, your child will have to pass an educative task.

PointTap Launcher [beta]

While not with the prettiest of graphics, PointTap resurrects the mouse cursor, aiding your one-handed operation of a big-screen handset. Chilling as a simple dot on the screen, PointTap awakens when you press it, and can serve as a virtual trackpad, plus you can draw directly on the screen for a quick note-taking session.
