Want to pre-order an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus? Shipments won't start until next week
While Apple's iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus won't be released before September 25 (this Friday), pre-orders for both handsets have been available since over a week ago. Many of those who've already placed pre-orders will get their new iPhone on September 25, but you won't be that lucky if you're pre-ordering today (or later).

Right now, all iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models are sold out online at Apple.com, not just in the US, but also around the world.

Customers who want to pre-order a new iPhone are informed that shipping won't start until 1 to 2 weeks from now (September 29 - October 6). Most iPhone 6s Plus models will be shipped even later, in 3 to 4 weeks.

Of course, on September 25, you will be able to visit Apple Retail Stores and try to buy an iPhone 6s directly, starting 8 AM. Apple advises walk-in customers to arrive early, which likely means stock will be limited.

As a reminder, both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are available in four color versions: silver, gold, space gray, and rose gold. The rose gold color is a first for iPhones, and it looks like customers like it a lot.

Have you pre-ordered an iPhone 6s? If not, do you plan to do it at some point?
