Once again we ask, is this the Apple iPad mini?
Of course, this could simply be a mockup of the 7.85 inch tablet that is rumored to be less than a week away from being officially announced withj speculation falling on October 17th. After all, plenty of those mockups of the Apple iPhone 5 were photographed and not one was the real thing. However, and this is important, most of the mockups turned out to be pretty darn close to the real thing and we're thinking that the same could be happening again with the Apple iPad mini.
Apple could be pricing the mini version of its tablet at a price to compete with the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and the 8GB variant of the Google Nexus 7, both priced at $199. Screen protectors are on sale for the unannounced device at Zagg.com. And in case you're interested, the pictures come from the Twitter account of Sonny Dickson

I mean honestly who cares?
After google launches the super hi-res tab for the premium segment and the US $ 99 tablet for the regular segment who is actually going to care for this flash in a pan device?
Oh yeah and Google already has the mid-range segment covered with the Nexus7 tablet :)

Lets wait and see the sells charts, then revisit this post. Your hot air mouth running speaks for u, not the other 6-7 billion people on earth.

huh you mean like how we waited for the iPhone 5 to release and overtake us androids :)
Read the figures Jedi, a post on PA itself stated that the S3 sales surged after the launch of iPhone 5 and its still the steadiest rate of selling for a device this year.
The iPhone 5 launched here in Bahrain just a week after US release and for the first time there was no fanfare. Despite the hype the launch itself fizzled out in 2 days flat! I was hoping for it to fail but this was hilarious!
And all this happened in a country where iPhones were the fastest selling and most in-demand phone. They used to be out of stock and now people arent even asking for it...pathetic.
There's a reason that happened because peeps just got smarter and were able to see through the crap Apple has sold to them for the past few years!
Besides the S3 was truly awesome and the NOTE 2 now is AWESOMENESS PERSONIFIED!
So if the iFlop(iPhone) sales are any indication...then oh my I am shaking in fear of the launch of the mighty tiny-winy iPad mini :)
Oh yeah lets not forget....

5 million n 3 days is lots, however I really don't care since I don't work for apple. I jus trip off how $+¥?!d ur posts r
32. PhenomFaz (Posts: 1059; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
whoa quite a figure count for someone who doesn't care :)
hmmm I have heard the rumors too...abut what I've also heard is that there's a 20% return rate for the new Apple iPhone 5 because it coomes with defects out of the box :)
5 million is the number ordered by the carriers not the actual sales figure of the handsets bought by the consumer....just FYI :)

oh you can believe this is our fun sized version of the iPad. consistent leak after consistent leak just like the new iPhone had.
10. Contreramanjaro (Posts: 153; Member since: 04 Dec 2011)
Unfortunately, like the iPhone, these leaks have already made me uninterested in the device. I wasn't planning on getting one to begin with but something is killed when a product is introduced to the world in grubby, blurry pictures.
Perhaps the software side will be cool enough to reignite something when Apple announces this stuff but the way iOS develops, I doubt I'll be surprised. Don't misunderstand, I love Mac OS and I'd love a true companion offering that iOS simply cannot fill. Windows 8 makes me hope Apple will be inspired.

PA does so you have articles on even screen protectors for mimipad . I must say I haven't seen a neutral tech review site with so much of Apple tilt like PA ... :)
7. rf1975 (Posts: 232; Member since: 01 Aug 2011)
I do not agree with you. Reason for this much apple article I guess, Apples poor new product security. I have read plenty of article in PA, about galaxy nexus Note II before its launch. No one complain about that even apple fan-boys. Why you guys are complaining once PA publish article about Apple. PA did not insist you to buy any Apple product. If you do not like Apple product you do not read those article about Apple.

... if you don't like just don't rteply/react to my comment .. as they say practise what you preach .. I am not complaining i am just stating degradation of quality of reporting if one has to start covering "screen protectors" also just because they seem to be for not yet released some pad ... i didn;t see a article on screen protector for a GS Note II for example did we ?
21. rf1975 (Posts: 232; Member since: 01 Aug 2011)
I never said in my reply that I do not like your comments. I always preach what I practice. Weather you are agree or not, it seems you are over reacting.
13. Lucas777 (Posts: 2121; Member since: 06 Jan 2011)
really? if you think this site, comments, articles and all, is apple biased, then I am not sure what your neutral refers too?
if publishing articles about other companies besides android is biased, then ya, this site is guilty as charged...
15. rusticguy (Posts: 2811; Member since: 11 Aug 2012)
Reporting on screen protectors and c ases just for Apple somehow doesn't make it seem neutral for me :)
23. darkkjedii (Posts: 9280; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
The millions of people who'll buy it care, and so do u that's y u r on the article running ur mouth.
6. Izzy_V (Posts: 216; Member since: 07 Jul 2012)
I bet as soon as other Android users saw this, they also thought of "Once again we ask this, why would anyone get an iPad?"
Android all day for actual innovation.
26. darkkjedii (Posts: 9280; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Wow thanks! We all needed to hear that bit of pointless useless senseless info.
8. BREvenson (Posts: 190; Member since: 17 May 2012)
If a majority of people who buy this new mini iPad already own a regular iPad (any generation), it will surely be a perfect image of the way our society is; way too much money, not enough brains to use it properly. Who in the world would need two tablets anyway, regardless of size?
But that's just me on my soapbox. To be honest, what makes this better than most other 7"tablets on the market? I don't see any chance that this will be less than $250, so it won't beat the Nexus 7 or the Fire HD in terms of price. The Nexus has one of the best processors in a 7" tablet (if not, THE best), so unless this mini iPad has a kickin' quad-core in it, it's still weak by comparison.
There are a lot of factors that make a tablet worth buying, but even with all the hype, I have a feeling Apple will once again make a device that doesn't fare much better than the competition, yet millions will be standing in line to get it...like always.

Wow look - the connector is all digital. What does it even mean? :D
27. darkkjedii (Posts: 9280; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
It means faster charging, syncing, and data transfer. Far faster than the old 30 pin. You've been schooled. I'm ready for a senseless response.

18. Kronic (banned) (Posts: 321; Member since: 11 Sep 2012)
Yeah sure, this is going to outshine the new iPads design. Bullll crappp!
19. SonyXperiaNexus (Posts: 374; Member since: 01 Oct 2012)
I dont know what the mystery is. Its obvious that its gonna look exactly like the ipad but smaller and with 16:9 aspect ratio. Apple is not known for continuously using the same design coz according to their "thinking" they say that the design is so "amazing" that it should not be changed. look at all the generations of ipads and would you still think its gonna be different. Dont expect 'different' from apple.

Dear APPLE, I have something better - N7 - thanks for trying and thanks for producing more overpriced junk.
33. jmoita2 (Posts: 930; Member since: 23 Dec 2011)
Big deal, who cares? Apple is not what it used to be. Now they play catch up to everyone else, come up with something and introduce it as "revolutionary"...
