International version of Samsung GALAXY Note II gets updated to Android 4.1.2
Share:
Besides the new features that come with Android 4.1.2, the update includes new additions in the Notifications toggle area, such as the ability to turn multi-windows on or off. The whole Notifications panel can now be customized and the brightness control, for example, can be disabled. The color of the status bar has been changed from grey to black and there is a new optional ink effect on the lock screen.
Those with the international version of the Samsung GALAXY Note II and the Samsung GALAXY Note II LTE will find the browser to be smoother after the update and the Samsung QWERTY keyboard now includes a Swype style of typing. The new Group Cast feature allows you to share photos and music with those who own another Samsung device.
The update is said to be rolling out right now in Poland (Samsung GALAXY Note II) and in Sweden (Samsung GALAXY Note II LTE). Eventually, the update should go global and will be available OTA or via Kies.

the Verizon note 2 was released after the international version so it has a later build. I'm so envious of you guys. my update will most likely arrive in weeks.

This is why I bought the international version of The Note 2, updates as soon as they are available directly through Samsung themselves. No carrier delays and no bloatware. Yes no LTE is a bummer but I can live without it because quite frankly.....I have to.

Ironically, I can already disable Multi Windows on my Verizon Galaxy Note II in the status bar, along with Multi Tasking and my status bar appears to be black; thank you Big Red!!
Have to look into the other features; this SUPERPHONE is so feature-packed that it's taking me longer than usual. Oh, where to begin??
And, before someone attempts a moronic cheap shot: all those haters hating Verizon because of the branded Home button, the screen is so big on this damn thing and Multi Windows allows me to Multi Focus in a way that leaves me mesmerized that, the Home button is something I never look at.
Posted from my Verizon Galaxy Note II 4G LTE with Multi Windows (and, the other features above) ☆

Absolutely! This is by far the best Android device on the planet! I know because I had them all.

Well, my good man, I have to completely and utterly disagree with you; it is by far the best smartphone in the whole galaxy ☆ :)
And, iToo, have had them most (not quite all, I'd be one broke-@$$ PAPI')
+1 :) 4 U

Already have the ink feature on lock screen, multiwindow option in settings and on toggles in notification pulldown,
Swype style writing and groupcast was stock out of the box for Sprint back in October.
So RoryRevolution congrats on buying that International version, it was apparently missing a list of features the U.S. versions had out of the box.. and we already received the ones we didnt have out of the box with LJC..
Sprint FTW
