Better than £999, but at £599?

The OnePlus 7T is the next killer flagship from OnePlus at a mid-range price point. It is quite comparable to flagships, like in the camera department, and sometimes even better, like with the 90Hz display. But it also lacks some of the flagship features, like wireless charging and an IP rating. While I really miss those features, they are worth it for the mid-range pricing.

Build quality
7.0
Solid and durable phone, since it lacks a curved display the screen does not crack as easy as flagships like the Note 10. Just a big camera bump.
Reception
10.0
Quick and working calling, it never has anything like a ‘water sound’ on the other side.
Call quality
9.0
Very great quality, but the earpiece is really worse than I expected.
Internet
10.0
This phone is all about speed, and the connection shows. It can load websites like a £999 flagship could.
Multimedia
7.0
Has a lot of apps, but in some areas lacks sensing technology that some apps need.
Camera
10.0
For the price point, a triple 48MP system is absolute killer.
UI speed
10.0
It has a very light and fast UI, without the garbage that other phones have.
Everyday usage
9.0
Fast and light usage, but in some areas like the speakers it shows that it’s £400 less.
Text input
9.0
Quick and easy typing thanks to the good size, but the sides sometimes get in the way.
Display
10.0
Display is one of the key parts of the phone, and it shows. It even beats flagships with a high resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
Battery
7.0
It is enough to last, but the speed eats up battery, like with the refresh rate.

Pros

  • 90Hz display
  • High resolution
  • £599
  • Good Size
  • Eight gigabytes of RAM.

Cons

  • Big camera bump
  • Uneasy sides
  • Bad speakers

Great phone!

I'm not gonna say things that others have stated because if you are really looking for a review here, you have probably already seen all the basics. So I point out things that stick to my eye after using this phone for over a month, good performance is the best thing in this phone in my opinion as switching from a older sony phone.

The battery capacity is only 3800, whic is dissapointting nevertheless i have no have prob regarding to that and the quick charge is awesome!

Pros

  • Everything you need at a price point of 600€
  • This is not a china-phone like Xiaomi as they use their company to advertise to get extra money, No this is oneplus they actually care about their fanbase/community.
  • Good specs!

Cons

  • The phone feels like a toy, It hasn't any hardware that would make it feel like masculine (wtf am I saying) No headphone jack, rounded edges(the screen is not rectangle) make this phone feel like a toy
  • At 600€ this oneplus is not your ideal phone because of its floppy price point and the few compromises that had to be made not because Oneplus couldn't add more to this phone, but because the phone market tries to milk the money out of customers can be quite annoying to you who paid 600€

Flagship Specs, Budget Price

Simply put, the OnePlus 7T is the best bang for your buck at this time. Lots of high end features including that 90hz refresh rate. And boy, that makes a huge difference. Really makes the phone feel super smooth and snappy as you scroll through whatever it is you're viewing. The 7T feels great in hand, has a very premium feel to it. The matte finish just feels nice and fingerprints don't ruin your life like they would on a glossy finish. I have no issues getting through a full day with the battery. I'm always on the phone for gaming, internet, email, etc. On the rare occasion that I want to top the battery off, the warp charge works faster than anything I've used to bring the battery percentage back up. It's a very nice feature. Speakers are loud and clear, sounds are not distorted at any volume. The camera bump is kinda... different. It took some getting used to, but I don't stare at the back of my phone much so it is what it is. It isn't the cleanest look but it's ok with me. Speaking of cameras, I'm no pro photographer but the 7T takes great pics. You can tweak a lot in pro mode to get whatever effect you desire. I've been happy with it. Anyway, I think anyone who purchases the 7T would be pleased with it. It does everything well for a price that's way lower than it's competition. If you're on the fence about it, you won't be disappointed.

Matte finish resists fingerprints and has a nice soft feel. Pretty good grip compared to glossy-backed phones.

No problems getting through a full day of use. Warp charge is incredibly fast as well.

Pros

  • 90hz display, great build quality, reasonable price, unobtrusive notch, alert slider

Cons

  • Maybe the camera bump?
