Samsung shows off new Galaxy M design, confirms January launch date
Samsung has quite the portfolio of smartphone lines in different price ranges. There's the flagship Galaxy S and Note series, the mid-range A series, and the budget J, C, and On lineup. Samsung may be looking to change this, however, with the introduction of the revamped Galaxy M lineup, which could serve as a unified takeover of the company's affordable offerings.

The new Samsung Galaxy M phones have long been rumored to be the first notched devices from the South Korean tech giant. Following Samsung's 2018 announcement of a few new types of notched "Infinity" displays, reliable sources started suggesting that the Galaxy M series may be adorned with Infinity-V type displays (a.k.a. as a "waterdrop" notch). Well, seems like all this information was bang-on, as confirmed by none other than Samsung itself.

Samsung has launched a microsite for an upcoming Galaxy M device — likely the Galaxy M20, judging by the dual-camera setup on its back  — and, sure enough, it has an Infinity-V display with a single selfie lens occupying the small notch up top. The official images suggest that the phone has slim bezels all around, though the bottom one is suspiciously missing from the pictures. Hopefully, the Galaxy M20 won't have a big chin, but we wouldn't expect its bottom bezel to be as thin as the rest.

What's more the official page has a firm launch date for the new Galaxy M phone – January 28. The device is expected to made available in India first — one of the biggest markets for budget phones — where it will be sold only online, through Samsung's official store and Amazon India.
