iPhone X Plus and iPhone 9 dummy units shown in hands-on video
We're still months away from Apple's big iPhone reveal, but that's no reason not to talk about the upcoming flagships, especially if we have the info to support some of the rumors surfacing online before any important announcement.

Speaking of new information about Apple's next-generation iPhones, 9to5mac has just published a video that shows a set of dummies that reportedly represent the iPhone X Plus and iPhone 9. They are compared with current iPhones like the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone X.

As seen in the video, the iPhone X Plus is about the same size as the iPhone 7 Plus, even though the former comes with a larger 6.5-inch display, but that makes perfect sense considering the upcoming iPhone X model will get rid of the large bezels present in some of the current iPhones.

The iPhone 9 is said to sport a smaller (but still large) 6.1-inch display. Apparently, this is going to be Apple's cheapest iPhone launched this year, as prices are likely to start at $700. However, the iPhone 9 is rumored to feature an LCD display and a single rear camera.

The video published also shows a couple of cases that protect the dummy models, which suggests that accessory makers have already started to work on the design for the upcoming iPhone models before Apple's official announcement.

Holiday quarter 2018 = highest record of iPhones sold. I believe 85-90 million...Apple still stays on top as no Android vendor anytime soon is knocking them down off the thrown.

One plus 6 it’s an ordinarily android phone like other android phone just with 2 gigs of ram more and still performs like other android phones so.

I get why Android ppl would come to this site, but I never understood Apple fans coming here. Same news for the same device can be found everywhere else. Android has no many variants you can feel more open to reading news and getting excited about different brands. Apple, on the other hand, same news everywhere. Nothing for the Apple fan to be excited about. Like.. 'Oh, I'm glad I read this new, now I can make go with this device'... More like "Oh., they are coming with a notch at the bottom now, well.. no other option for me'

That's funny. The entire industry references the iPhone when comparing new flagships. You already know what that means. Funnyman.

Especially if they come in a little cheaper. I’m all over the 6.5 incher, no matter what it costs. Hope to see a Blush Gold, 512 gig model. I’m rocking an X and a Note now, so my X will get sold after I get the 6.5, (if they make it).

Repeating the same thing I say all the time. IF you want iOS then you have no other choice but to get an Apple product, so there is no competition there. So not sure what knocking them down means. Please provide statistics for Android phones sold and lets compare.

Please provide statistics for Apple vs ANY android mobile manufacturer’s profits and let’s compare. Units sold means nothing when companies exist to make money. And mean even less when you count the models sold in third world countries, or cheap clamshell prepaid packages. Majority of android phones sold are burners and throwaways. You know exactly what knocking them down means. Hold an iPhone and an android phone in front of someone, and tell them they can have one for free, can you guess what 95% of people will pick?

The price will be essential. I see 3 phones with the same design, 2 being expensive one being cheaper but less attractive. The 6.1 inch iphone is rumored to cost between 600-700$ while it will lack 3D touch, TouchID, won't have portrait mode, probably won't have water resistance or the updated A12 SOC, probably it won't have a great battery and who knows what else. So in some ways it will be less attractive than a iphone 8 Plus. Apple is not very good at developing mid-range phones. So who knows how will 2018 holiday season look like.

So will Piyath and Bankz complain that they look like the iPhone X? Or they only save that criticism for the S8 and S9? Anyways, one thing I would change in the design is the camera hump, at least reduce that gigantic lip if you can't get rid of it completely.

According to them, the iPhone 8 Plus looks completely different from the 7 Plus.

For 4 years we kept hearing the same argument, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Then for the past year, they were trolling Samsung for using the same design on the S8 and S9. Now, we will here the old argument again for God knows how many years.

I can’t understand the defense in Android Software. The hardware is excellent from most vendors. But the software is built on layers and layers of garbage. Intros one last time with the S8 Plus. I really wanted to love Android. The constant freezing. The battery drain. The issues. I tried the One Plus 5. Which was actually worse. I’m done with Android.
