iOS developers port Siri onto the iPhone 3GS, post a video to prove it
Think that Siri is so advanced that it would never work on hardware inferior to that of the iPhone 4S? Think again as you watch that video of Apple's voice-activated personal assistant running fine on that good old iPhone 3GS.

Grant Paul and Steve Troughton-Smith are the folks responsible for porting Siri over to the 3GS, and if the latter's name sounds familiar to you, that is because he was the one who kind of brought the service to the iPhone 4 not long ago, albeit unofficially. Sure, the short video is not enough to say whether Siri works flawlessly on the 3GS or not, but it more or less hints that the feature does not necessarily need to be an iPhone 4S exclusive, at least from technical standpoint.

In the meantime, there is a rumor going back and forth suggesting that Apple might bring Siri to the iPhone 4, and with each new hack to emerge from the developer community, seeing that happening in the near future seems more and more likely. Feel free to check out the video below and let us know what you think by dropping a comment.

Thanks, Ayman!
