honor 8 teased ahead of probable July 5th announcement

honor, as many of you will know, is a subsidiary of Chinese brand Huawei, and has churned out a slew of decent handsets over the past couple of years. The honor V8, which finally became official last month, is quite the powerhouse with its QHD 5.7-inch display and Kirin 950 SoC with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The honor 8 is a less phablety addition to the series with a rumored 5.2-inch display, though still looks set to pack a punch.
The honor 8 is expected to be powered either by the Kirin 950 or the Kirin 955 chipset with 4 GB of RAM, and like its more sizable counterpart, will be blessed with a USB Type-C port. Prices and variations of the honor 8 will range from around $300 for an NFC-free 1080p model, right up to a premium, 128 GB edition packing a QHD panel for $425. In total, there could be up to five different honor 8 models in store.
Following its announcement on July 5th, the device will likely hit stores one week later on July 12th. With any luck, we'll get a couple more teasers before next Tuesday's big reveal.
