Forget GTA 6: GTA 5 can run on your phone right now – Interview with GameNative's Utkarsh Dalal
If my Steam library is any indication, GameNative can currently run more than 50-60% of PC games out there. Right on your Android phone or tablet. And yes, this includes GTA 5.
The world of mobile gaming is being transformed as we speak. With powerful apps like Winlator, GameHub, GameNative, and more recently DroidDeck, more and more users are getting to enjoy their favorite PC games on their mobile devices.
I've been fascinated by these developments and have been an avid user of these apps for quite a while now. It's amazing to witness their rapid evolution – from humble proof-of-concepts to full-featured gaming platforms.
Following the controversies around GameSir's GameHub, GameNative quickly turned into the poster child of the PC emulation scene. This is by no means an accident: GameNative is open-sourced, has amazing compatibility with many PC games, delivers great performance, and integrates important quality-of-life improvements on the daily.
I'm a huge GameNative user, so I figured – what better way to spend an afternoon than to sit down with its creator, Utkarsh Dalal, and talk a little bit about GameNative's past, present, and future. In our conversation, you'll learn interesting bits about Utkarsh's life, his current priorities, and what he wants to achieve next.
