You can now buy iPhones and other products from Apple's Online Store using PayPal (US and UK only)

If you want to get an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or anything else that can be purchased from Apple’s official Online Store, you now have the option to pay with PayPal (as you can see in the image above). For now, however, this is available only in the US and UK.

Of course, Apple was already accepting PayPal payments in its App Store, iTunes Music Store, and iBookstore, but this is the first time when the company starts using PayPal for purchases made via its main Online Store, thus allowing customers to rely on another payment method than credit or debit cards. Shoppers can even benefit from PayPal’s Credit payment method - paying for products in up to 18 monthly installments with no interest.

While Apple didn’t say anything about this, we assume that pretty soon PayPal will be accepted as a valid payment method on Online Stores in other countries.

Apple.com is currently the second largest online retailer in the US (after Amazon), which means PayPal will have to deal with a lot of new transactions from now on.
