Sony releases official hands-on video to present the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, Xperia L2
A couple of days ago, Sony went official with its brand-new phones — the upper-midrange Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra, and the budget Xperia L2. They are pretty-cool looking handsets, aimed at the traditionalists that like their phone to have that stark, rectangular look that Sony's been touting for a while now.

The company has just released its own hands-on video for the three handsets. We get nice closeup shots and the specs of the phones reiterated. But it's a nice, condensed way to get acquainted with the new handsets in case you missed them on entry.

We had our time to check out the Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra at the CES 2018 expo and we quite liked their premium look and feel. You can check our own hands-on experience with the phones below:

In some images it appears that the subtle curvature of the back panel is mirrored to the front, i.e. the XA2 and XA2 Ultra have a slightly curved screen. I wonder if it's really so. That would be an interesting effect. It would be a great way to hide the maximum thickness of the phone in the middle having a phone where not only the back panel but the front tapers too.

Yes the front is curved just like the back. This gives these phones an oval like design.

Yep. This may be a solid 115hr. endurance score phone according to gsmarena. As long as Sony doesn't skimp on the optimizations, which they usually don't, and don't completely fail in the camera front, which they haven't recently, this will be a good replacement for my 3T. It has been getting regular updates, but what good is that when they cause these annoying bugs? I can't seem to keep one of my favorite games in memory to save this phone's life despite 6GB of RAM, the audio in certain areas is fritzy and Bluetooth doesn't always transfer audio properly, and there's those random force closes and the occasional reboot. My old ZR and Z3C were the most bug free phones I ever had. And did I mention how amazing the video stabilization is on the newer Sony phones? There mid-range phones also out photo other OEMs mid-range phones, and some of the flagships from companies like xiaomi and Nokia.

I can't wait for that. I have only had 2 phones with true great battery life, the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact being one of them. That phone had impressive life that I missed having.
