Xiaomi Mi Note 2 leaked hours before official launch
Ever since the Xiaomi Mi 5s and 5s Plus rolled out a month ago, the Mi Note 2 rumors have really picked up. A number of leaks before now have pointed to a dual curved-edge display akin to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and with just a couple of hours to go until the grand unveiling, we've a last-ditch preview of what will soon become official.

PowerPoint presentation recently revealed most of the juicy details of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, including its supposed 5.7-inch, 1440 x 2560 display, Snapdragon 821 processor and up to 6 GB of RAM. It's probable that the device will include up to 128 GB of internal storage, while the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor of the Mi 5s will likely get another outing.

Industry analyst Pan Jiutang has suggested that the Mi Note 2 will cost around 4000 Yuan ($590), presumably for the top-spec version. This is quite pricey for a handset from Xiaomi, regardless of the impressive innards. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 out of the picture for the most part, Xiaomi will be aware of those consumers willing to part with vast sums for a powerful, curvaceous phablet. Whether current and former Note 7 owners will flock to the Mi Note 2 in their droves, however, remains to be seen.

The device will be unveiled at a special event in Beijing in just a couple of hours' time. We'll have all of the specs, images and details covered right here as they arrive, so stay tuned!
