Windows Phone 8.1 updates for AT&T devices could be available as soon as this week
While some Windows Phone users already received an official update to Windows Phone 8.1, those owning AT&T devices still have to wait for the update to roll out. Fortunately, it looks like the wait won’t be long.

In response to a customer over at the official AT&T Forums, an AT&T community manager said that the Windows Phone 8.1 update “will be available from AT&T on certain devices as early as this week.” While the devices that will get WP 8.1 first aren’t mentioned, they’re probably some of the latest Nokia models, like the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 925.

As you may know, all Windows Phone 8 handsets should receive the WP 8.1 update eventually - even older devices like the Lumia 820, or HTC 8X. On Nokia / Microsoft handsets, the update is called Lumia Cyan, and you can take a quick look at it in the video below.

Updates aside, AT&T will soon have a brand new handset that runs Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box: the Lumia 635, which will be available starting July 25 for only $99.99 (as a GoPhone device).
