Waze for iOS users can now get turn-by-turn directions in their own voice

Here is something that Android users have been able to do since two months ago. Waze has just announced the option to receive directions in your own voice has just been added to the iOS version of its navigation app.

With the help of a Voice Recorder, Waze for iOS users will now receive turn-by-turn directions in their own voice, if they don't like any of the extra voices that the developer has added to its app over the course of a few years.

But there's more, as Waze announced that its users could also share their voice commands with friends, family, and others who would like to spice up their navigation experience while using Waze for iOS.

Aside from the addition of a Voice Recorder that enables users the possibility to receive voice directions to guide them in their own voice, Waze also added some minor bug fixes and improvements.

In order to make use of the new feature, you must update to Waze v4.26. The new voice recorder feature can be found in the Settings / Sound & Voice, so don't forget to enable it if you want to hear your voice while using Waze on your iPhone.
