ViewSonic ViewPad 7e tablet to launch before the end of October
ViewSonic has finally announced that their ViewPad 7e tablet will be launching before the end of October for users looking to enjoy the benefits of a tablet for a budget friendly price of only $200.

The ViewPad 7e isn’t going to blow you away in terms of specs, not by a long shot, especially when you consider some of the more high-end offerings available today. However for what the ViewPad 7e is, an entry-level tablet at an attractive price, then perhaps its shortcomings can be forgiven.

For starters, the ViewPad 7e runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3 with their custom ViewScene 3D user interface overlaying it. And yes we said Gingerbread, not Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich. The tablet’s 7-inch display has a resolution of 800x600 and the device is powered by a single-core 1GHz processor as well as 512MB of RAM.

On the back of the ViewPad 7e is a 3 megapixel camera while a VGA camera occupies the front side. ViewSonic is including 4GBs of storage with the device to hold all of your movies and whatnot that can later be displayed on a TV thanks to the built-in HDMI port. There is an expandable microSD slot so you will not be limited just to the memory that ViewSonic has included.

The ViewSonic ViewPad 7e is what it is. It isn’t an all-powerful Android Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet of the future but rather an entry-level tablet for those who aren’t looking to break the bank on a type of device that they may have never owned before. Keep an eye out for the ViewPad 7e since it should be launching within the week.
