Update to Google Photos will help you jog your memory
The Google Photos Google+ account revealed today that the app is receiving an update that is just rolling out now for Android users. If you opt-in to this new feature, Google Photos will send you cards while in the Assistant view, reminding you of pictures you snapped at around the same time years ago. And you can share the pictures that pop up via email or social media.
Suppose you went to Disney World in September three years ago. If you opt-in, on the anniversary of the trip Google Photos will send you a collage showing photos of people and places that you took that very day.
The update is already available for the iOS version of Google Photos. Android users with the app already installed, will find the update in the Google Play Store under My apps. If you haven't yet downloaded and installed Google Photos on your Android handset, do it here.
