Update sent out to OnePlus One brings Android 4.4.4 and a bunch of fixes to the phone

An OTA update has been sent out to the OnePlus One, bringing Android 4.4.4 to the handset. To see if it has arrived on your handset, head over to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates. Considering the complaints that users have had with the phone, there are a number of fixes that ought to bring a smile to owners of the top-shelf handset.

The update brings a new feature called Clear Image for the camera, According to OnePlus, "Once you switch on the new Clear Image mode in the Camera app, nothing but awesomeness will be captured." Also fixed is the volume of the microphone in "voice recorder," the failure of "Ok Google" to start Google Search and the failure of the "O" gesture to start the camera. Repaired is an issue that would put up the wrong sized wallpaper on the screen.

The update might take some time to reach you, so don't panic if it doesn't come right away. Hopefully, this update will solve the issues that have had a number of the phone's owners unhappy with the manufacturer's response to these problems.
