Unknown Motorola Android device makes video appearance, likely NOT the X Phone
Like the title says, this is most certainly not the Motorola X that has been making its rounds through the rumor mill the past few days.

It is a rather attractive looking device however, bestowed with model number XT912A, this is a relative of the RAZR family we suspect. The display is a touch over 4-inches and under the hood lies a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Andreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM and a 2200mAh battery.

The bezel is fairly narrow and the overall form factor is an interesting look for the traditionally sharp edged RAZR family of smartphones. In the video below we can see the notation of “Motorola Confidential Property.” What is this device? Is this a yet-to-be released smartphone in the RAZR family? Or is it a pre-release build that became the current crop of 720p RAZR HD devices?

Check out the video below and share your thoughts about what this device is about.

Look to the right under "new phones" Click on the MOTOROLA RAZR V and look at the pictures THAT is a moto midrange phone! Kevlar, black chrome, and SEXY AS HELL! This ABOMINATION is rubberized plastic crap like everyone else is doing!!! The same rubberized plastic brick crap that characterizes EVERY Android phone (except the HTC, sony phones they know how to build 'em too!) I am NO FANBOY! If a brand I like is sucking I'll say so AND THIS, FOR MOTO, IS SUCKING!!

I just wanted to point out that if you look closely at the phone, the construction materials used do look closer to HTC or Sony than Samsung. CHILL. OUT. BRO. Come on, man. You're normally calm and reasonable.

This could be just another mid-ranger you know.. along with the Razr V. So calm down. Trust in Motorola :)

Um, dude, chill out. It's very obviously a prototype, and even if it has plastic construction, they've done that before in the Atrix, and frankly my Atrix so far has fared better than my Note.

The size and specs of this phone is what i been DYING to have on a android smartphone! 4 inch, HD SCREEN, 2200 mAh battery, and quadcore processor? O hells yea moto Still prefer 4.3 inches for perfect size but this is too close to perfection to be disappointed!

what kind of roody poo would thumb down this comment? those are great specs and should be the standard for 2013 low to mid phones.

When compared to the iPhone, it looked a little bigger. This probably is a 4.3" phone.

what is wrong with the digitizer? it does not seem to be flat. it seems to have nerves and edges. it seems like it is not capacitive.

Could be a prototype, or a device intended for a carrier other than Verizon. Perhaps one of the last devices in Motorola's pipeline prior to Google's takeover. Maybe an Atrix successor? Or even a phone intended for China. The screen actually seems more like it's in the 5 inch range. I'm interested in this device. My contact at Motorola DID say, btw, that his X prototype seemed like it was nowhere close to what the finished product would physically look like.

i think Moto is just going stock with their Android 4.2 builds but the Circles Widget is staying and that's a good thing. o:

I thank that this phone is the Motorola Razr M HD that was leaked a few months back. That screen seems fairly close to 4.5" that the artical talked about. I thought that it would have a bigger battery that 2200 mAh though.

The specs are not bad, but something tells me that this phone will have Android ICS, just look at the UI.

Sorry my mistake, this is Android JB, forgive me for saying it wrong. I'm disappointed because it's not Key Lime Pie.

The perfect midranger .....

Looks like a solid well built phone. I'm guessing a 4.3" screen which at 720P is excellent PPI. Give me an unlocked bootloader and we have a deal.

i like the design but its a little to fat for my taste

27. alila2

its not fat at all, at 1:26 he turn it sideways at the same time with the iphone its even thinner than the iphone. its is also more thinner on top and bottom making the middle of the phone the thickest which will play as a natural comfort curved fit in your palm.

I doubt that this will be a member of the Razr family. This device has that "rounded pyramid" build like the Droid DNA.

That phone looks like a DNA with moto markings on it. It has the same full face glass just like the DNA only thing is this have on screen buttons. It's shaped similarily to the DNA with the convex rear and slightly convex front face with tapered edges. Believe you me non removable battery phones tend to not be made of plastic since they don't want the back popping off or cracking under impact. It's build is more or less like the same materials like the Droid X specially coated metal chassis. That phone is at least 5" in size, he held it up next to the iPhone 5 and the screen was still larger than the Apple screen, this phone isn't small. Might be 4.7" 720p screen. It looks rather thick though, I'm guessing mid range phone with looks of a sleek built Korean phone minus all the annoying software tweaks which only taint the Google experience. Just from looks along this phone is probably the same footprint as the DNA although it may be a bit thicker than the DNA, I wonder the type of camera in this thing 10-12mp in there probably.

If you didn't understand the language is Vietnamese. He basically was saying, " this another piece of crap by Motorola. Save your money, and buy it six months down the road. Plastic device certainly will depreciate, and will be very similar to the Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus. See how shinny it's? not made from premium materials etc." :)
