This is Samsung's UI for its first round smartwatch (Orbis / Gear A)
Samsung has been working on a smartwatch with a circular display for quite a while now. Expected to be called Samsung Orbis, or maybe Samsung Gear A, the device could be officially unveiled in September, at the same time with the Galaxy Note 5.

Last month, Samsung all but confirmed the existence of a smartwatch with a circular display by teasing a new Gear SDK (Software Development Kit). Now, the SDK is available to download - thus, we can take a look at the Tizen-based round UI that Samsung is working on. What's more, the SDK also reveals some of the features that the Gear A / Orbis will almost certainly offer, including a rotating bezel that may have a similar functionality as Apple Watch's digital crown. For example, you can use the rotating bezel to zoom in and out of photos, navigate between screens, or adjust the volume.

Apparently, the Gear A / Orbis has a 1.65-inch display with 360 x 360 pixels, heart rate monitor, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular connectivity (only 2G, though).

All in all, the Samsung Gear A / Orbis, or whatever its final name will be, might become one of Samsung's most interesting devices of 2015. Take a look at what to expect from it:
