The Motorola Moto G5 might hit retail in the middle of March, just weeks after announcement
The upcoming Motorola Moto G5 is one of MWC 2017's poorly kept secrets. We know almost everything about the smartphone in advance, and we are now being clued in about its eventual retail release. A UK retailer – allegedly Clove – listed the Moto G5 (with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage) in Gold and Grey, saying first stock is due mid-March. This means the smartphone will be available for purchase not long after its announcement at MWC 2017. The conference goes between February 27 and March 2.

The Moto G5 is rumored to feature a 5-inch 1080p resolution screen and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, which originates from the chipmaker's low-end series and is designed to provide adequate power for affordable devices. Running Android Nougat, the G5 could be sold in two configurations – 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The handset will have a 13MP main camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera. A fingerprint sensor and NFC connectivity are strong possibilities as well.

The Moto G5 has been certified by the FCC, which means it's coming to the US market. Whether that will happen as soon as mid-March, or after a longer wait, remains to be seen.

If it has an sd slot then 16GB is okay and RAM is pretty good considering the market it is targeting but the SD430 is pretty unacceptable and should be a 625 at least... Then again the Moto Z Play is occupying that space and has some really long battery life with that processor.

Totally agree. It will be unforgivable in 2017 without an FPS.

It's a mid range phone, let's wait for the rrp before deciding if they've made a major boo boo.

The G5 and G5 Plus both need to be under $300. $249 or less actually fully unlocked to work on all carriers.

If those are the specs of the G5 that is a huge step down. Especially if you want $300 for the phone. BOOOO, come on Lenovo
