The Cosyphone by Sagem Wireless targets the 50 and up users
Sagem Wireless announced the launch of the Cosyphone – it's a connected lifestyle handset aimed at the over 50's market. Although it may seem like the ordinary handset with its large sized keypad and easy to view display, it sports some of the latest technology innovations such as near-field communications (NFC) with a design that's elegant and easy to navigate interface – all culminating in a connected device that is customized to the specific lifestyle needs of an older generation of cell phone users. It keeps in tune with an ergonomic form factor and utilizes contact-less NFC technology to provide users to access the features of the handset without scrolling through menus on the phone. Owners can simply create pre-configured and customized shortcut cards or “tags” for friends and family, or services such as the doctors or police – this can all be accomplished by simply waving their device over the cards to activate the call or text message. With that in mind, expect to find other amenities that cater to the specific market with its raised keypad with micro-vibration feedback to give users the assurance that they've pressed the correct key. Unfortunately there was no information regarding the pricing for this handset, but it's expected to be available on various mobile network operators.
