Teaser hints at September 8th event to unveil Oppo R7 FC Barcelona Edition
Oppo has posted a teaser on its Weibo page, that hints at a event to take place in China on September 8th. We come to that conclusion from the numerals on the back of the two jerseys in the foreground of the teaser. In addition, we can see in the background certain players like Luiz Suarez, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Adriano, Jordi Alba, Marc Bartra and Pique. It all adds up to be a teaser for the Oppo R7 Plus FC Barcelona Limited Edition.

The FC Barcelona Limited Edition version of the Oppo R7 will include certain wallpaper, themes and even packaging related to the fvootball club. The team's logo is expected to be engraved in the back.

Outside of the special Barcelona markings, the phone is believed to be a regular Oppo R7. That means the handset will feature a 5-inch AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. This combination results in a pixel density of 441ppi. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 615 SoC, which carries an octa-core 1.5GHz and an Adreno 405 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of expandable storage. A 13MP camera adorns the rear of the phone, and an 8MP snapper is in front to snap selfies and handle video chats. Keeping the generator humming is a 2320mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 is pre-installed.

The Oppo R7 has some great features including Phase Detection focusing on the rear camera that can bring your subject into focus in just .1 second. The camera also has a quick start-up time and includes extras such as ultra-clear, slow shutter and double exposure. VOOC rapid charging gives the battery two hours of life after just five minutes of charging.

We don't know what the Barcelona Limited Edition version of the Oppo R7 is going to cost, but an unlocked version of the phone has been available in the U.S. since June, priced at $399 USD. We should find out everything we need to know about the Oppo R7 Barcelona Limited Edition when the phone is unveiled next Tuesday.

Thanks for the tip!
