T-Mobile's Garminfone finally settles for the contract price of free
Well, it looks like the exodus is now in full swing after Garmin announced that they were now leaving the phone business after experiencing sales figures that weren't so uplifting for their latest Android powered smartphone. With that in tow, T-Mobile is now pricing the Garminfone for the truly inexpensive price of free with an accompanying 2-year agreement.

Sure, there were some who cried out when the handset was first launched – especially for something that was placed at the golden price of $199.99. At that level, it clearly was far from the superior offerings that other rival Android powered smartphones had to offer, but unfortunately it never really took off.

Eventually, we slowly began to see its price reduced to better adjust to its nature, however, it clearly still wasn't enough. Needless to say now that it's price at free, it may begin to garner some additional sales. But when you've got it going against some expected handset offerings in the near future, such as the T-Mobile G2, it might still find itself trying hard to win the attention of potential owners.
