T-Mobile G2 release is being pushed back until October 16th?
Those who are eagerly anticipating to experience the very first HSPA+ device in the US might have to wait just a little longer to get their hands on a highly priced T-Mobile G2. The last time we heard about its release, the fingers pointed to October 6th after Best Buy started issuing pre-orders for the smartphone, but speculations are coming in hinting that it's being pushed back to October 16th.

Sure it's only 10 days, but we'd imagine that it would give T-Mobile some additional time to prepare for a full blown launch which will propel the handset to the spotlight. Even though HTC managed to make the handset's specifications public, T-Mobile is still riding low key in regards to an official launch date. So don't be surprised to see if that October 16th date moves to something else – whether it be closer or further away.

they probably realized demand for the device was going to be bigger than anticipated and wanted to buffer the stock levels. That would be the smart thing to do anyways.

Agreed. Hate it when companies purposely short stock their release phones just to make it seem like they are selling out super quick.
