Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact: All you need to know

By now, you're probably aware that Sony just refreshed its smartphone lineup with the Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact.

To sum these two in a couple of words, Sony is once again going the evolutionary path and totally skipping the revolutionary approach; to be frank, this has been the company's way of doing things for years now, and it comes to no surprise that the Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact are pretty similar to their predecessors in terms of looks.

Luckily, the hardware and the features are pretty much up there with the contemporary rivals of Sony, so there's no lagging behind in any aspect; what's more, Sony's pushing things by being the first manufacturer to sell devices running Android Oreo right out of the box.

Did we get your attention? We hope we did. Now, check out all there's to know about the two devices:

I'm a little bit disappointed with the XZ1.. only 2700 mAh (the same capacity as the compact), no OIS, and the bezels are a bit too big for my taste. I'm glad that they got rid of these plastic side rails though.

Dammit Sony, you make it so hard to like you. It's not that Sony phones are bad by any means, but they are no longer enticing or exciting at all...add to that the high price, and unfortunately, my money will yet again be spent elsewhere.
