Some Sprint and Verizon customers will receive their Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phones much earlier

Samsung introduced its newest flagship on August 23 and opened pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 8 just one day later. However, the South Korean company announced the smartphone is supposed to hit the shelves on September 15, not earlier.

Even so, it appears that some customers who placed pre-orders at Sprint and Verizon will be getting their Galaxy Note 8 handsets much earlier than expected. Although the phone isn't supposed to ship until about two weeks from now, many customers received shipping notifications informing them that their phones have already been shipped and will arrive next week.

A screenshot posted by a Verizon customer shows that the phone was shipped on September 2 and it should arrive on the 4th. Also, some Sprint customers have taken it to Reddit to confirm they have received shipping notifications from the carrier saying their phones will arrive on September 5 or slightly later.

It's highly unlikely that everyone who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from either of the two carriers will receive their phablets two weeks earlier than expected, but at least some of them will.

According to UPS mine will be arriving Tuesday, my fingers are crossed it will be after I get off of work. I know it says highly unlikely, but wishful thinking right?

Unless you ordered the carrier unlocked version (which I don't think is available yet), it will.

um just so u know u will need to be home to get the package bc u need to sign for it, ups wont leave it at the door as per the carrier requests

I know, but I have my roommate home so he should be able to sign for it in the event of me not being home, and usually UPS runs late in my area. UPS had no qualms leaving my phone outside my door in the rain last year.

I chatted with t force on Twitter and they said that they got the go ahead to release early from Samsung as well. I already have tracking information for mine just no movement. Only label created and ready for pickup on the ups website.

Same here- this is bull. Im with T-Force right now telling them what I think of them. Me: Preorder with T-Mobile around 12:30pm EST on 8/24 - label created and bank debited on 8/30 - still no shipping movement. My friend: Preorder from Verizon around 5:30pm 9/1 - phone shipped first thing on 9/2 and in transit for 9/5 delivery. What is wrong with this picture?

Mine too. I'm guessing T-Mobile will send theirs on Tuesday. I ordered mine right when preorders went live.

They had better... though I doubt them 100%. I just got an email that the phones are back-ordered. This is the single most unprofessional, unprepared experience I have ever had with them. My trust and loyalty have been wavered from this experience due to the sheer fact that promises couldn't be kept and no one has done anything to rectify the situation. Pre-Ordering is a sham unless you're with Verizon. To think I almost had that friend talked into coming over to T-Mobile. I will never try to sway him again. He is also paying 50% less (Verizon is matching Samsung's turn your phone in deal from the Note 7 situation, only you get a 50% discount on the Note8 and you didn't have to be a former Note 7 owner).

This is true. I dont know wtf is wrong with T-Mobile. I preordered in the first 24 hours. My label was created on the 30th, my bank account was debited on the 30th. My tracking number still says UPS is waiting on the package... My friend purchased his Note8 on Friday September 1st, it shipped the next morning and its in transit and he will have it on September 5th. He has Verizon. I am so mad at T-Mobile. Support agreed to find out what is going on at their warehouse. Its all bulls**t and im over it. I'll never bother preordering in the first 24 hours again!

Maybe T-Mobile didn't get their stock in yet. I don't know anyone with T-Mobile that has had theirs show movement. Why are you mad at T-Mobile when you ordered the phone they said it would ship September 13th to the 15th. So far they haven't done anything they didn't promise.

Not when my friend with Verizon has his phone on Tuesday. I ordered on 8/24, I should have my phone before or at least at the same time as someone who ordered on 9/1. T-Mobile is normally know for shipping before the other carriers. They dropped the ball big time on this. I never should have been debited for the purchase yet either. You dont print a shipping label when you dont have an item in stock. They have my money and I have no phone. If it were a case where yes, sorry its on back-order, we'll debit you next week when the new stock comes in, thats great. Dont tell me its in stock, take my money, and then tell me its on back-order. Thats just ridiculous.

When you ordered the phone didn't T-Mobile list the ship date as 9/13-9/15? How did they drop the ball when that date hasn't even come yet? It is nice when they ship phones early but you can't expect them to do so either. I am excited to get my phone too but I'm not going to call them up and bug them when the promised ship date is still 10 to 12 days away. My whole point is to give them a chance. I got my IMEI number so it isn't on back order. Maybe they are still coming from Korea or maybe T-Mobile is planning on shipping them this week. Be gad you didn't order a iphone... You can order those in the first hour and wait months to get it...

If you compare them among other companies- they dropped the ball. They have a reputation of being the first to ship new phones. I had high expectations to begin with as this is not the first time I have pre-ordered a popular phone with them. Past experiences have been 9/10, this experience has been 2/10. Its total garbage. Pre-ordering has no point given this situation. I thought that pre-ordering allowed the benefit of being some of the first or second recipient groups. Apparently it means nothing and my friends with Sprint and Verizon will have their phones and I'll be sitting here like a moron waiting on mine even though they took my money and printed a label already. Its just dumb and illogical.

I feel you, I'm exactly the same, but I don't know why you're mad. Anything ahead of Sep 15 is early. There's nothing to get worked up about. My Note 8 was $0 down, which is awesome compared to every other carrier. No complaints from me, not even a charge on my credit card, not that it would matter if there was one 2 days early, it's credit you still pay on the same day. But JOD is so awesome.

Its not early when all the other carriers ship before T-Mobile. Then your friends have their new phones before you instead of at the same time, but thats the least of it. What irks me is they took my money (I dont know how you got 0 down- I had to pay $210 + Tax + Shipping) already and I still dont have my product. I pre-ordered in the first 24 hours, i should have been one of the first batches of customers to get a phone. All of us who ordered on 8/24 deserve our phone asap under this condition. They were under-stocked, and not prepared. I just got an email saying the phones are back-ordered.

I have AT&T, and mine was upgraded from shipping on the fifth, to preparing to ship. I already received all 3 of my cases, now just my phone.
