Some Sprint and Verizon customers will receive their Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phones much earlier

Samsung introduced its newest flagship on August 23 and opened pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 8 just one day later. However, the South Korean company announced the smartphone is supposed to hit the shelves on September 15, not earlier.

Even so, it appears that some customers who placed pre-orders at Sprint and Verizon will be getting their Galaxy Note 8 handsets much earlier than expected. Although the phone isn't supposed to ship until about two weeks from now, many customers received shipping notifications informing them that their phones have already been shipped and will arrive next week.

A screenshot posted by a Verizon customer shows that the phone was shipped on September 2 and it should arrive on the 4th. Also, some Sprint customers have taken it to Reddit to confirm they have received shipping notifications from the carrier saying their phones will arrive on September 5 or slightly later.

It's highly unlikely that everyone who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from either of the two carriers will receive their phablets two weeks earlier than expected, but at least some of them will.
