Software update for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 dishes up some speed improvements
AT&T customers holding onto their next generation BlackBerry Torch 9800 since its initial launch will be happy to know that a software update is now available for the smartphone.

Essentially, it's the latest version of BlackBerry OS 6 for the handset and packs along specific things regarding speed improvements – which can be witnessed through a host of applications and functions. Specifically, web pages will load faster now and the speed of panning within a page is greatly improved. From launching to closing, and even exiting apps, everything as a whole is improved and more responsive. Additionally, there are smoother transitions and rendering on the home screen – so getting to the most important things on your device will be even quicker.

If you cant' wait for the update to hit your handset, you can simply visit either AT&T or RIM to fetch yourself the software update.
