Snapdragon S4 Pro with Adreno 320 graphics is the first to top the new iPad's PowerVR GPU
For the first time we have something else than the new iPad on top of the GLBenchmark test, and it is an LG E970 device with Snapdragon S4 Pro and Adreno 320 GPU - the chipset which showed breathtaking benchmarks in a Qualcomm developer board recently.

We saw that handsets like the LG E970 for AT&T and LS970 "Eclipse" for Sprint as well as an HTC 6435 device with the S4 Pro occupied four out of the five top places in the rankings there not long ago, but now the S4 Pro is ahead even of the almighty quad-core PowerVR graphics in the new iPad.

This phenomenon can certainly be due to optimizations as the handset nears its retail phase, or simply to overclocking the GPU, as the CPU is reported to be the same 1.5GHz as the stock frequency, yet it is nonetheless an impressive feat, showing that AT&T and Sprint customers might soon enjoy having the most powerful in terms of graphics Android handsets landing on their carrier.
