See how the Google Nexus 7 transforms into a car's entertainment system
Every DIY enthusiast who also happens to be passionate about cars has at least once considered the idea of mounting a tablet into the dashboard of their personal vehicle. Just think about it: with its rich set of multimedia features, a tablet can be a great inexpensive in-car entertainment system, not to mention that such a modification would look über awesome, if done right. One can store their music and video files on the device and play them back through the car's audio system, use the slate's GPS and navigation features, or even play a game of Angry Birds if stuck in a traffic jam.

The guys at Sonic Electronix have been embedding tablets in car dashboards for quite a while now, and on of their latest projects involves a Google Nexus 7 and a 2008 Dodge Ram. Best of all, they shared a brief video showing how the device was installed into the vehicle's dashboard and what it can be used for. Just check it out below and tell us what you think about the modification by dropping a comment. Anyone already thinking of giving them a call?
