Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have caught a bug: missing toggles
According to many reports from Galaxy S6 and S6 owners around the world, Samsung's two flagship smartphones have a frustrating bug: several notification toggles (from the quick settings menu) are disappearing without any apparent cause. More exactly, the mobile data, private mode, and mobile hotspot toggles can all go missing in action.

It seems that the bug showed up in the last few days, and didn't affect any S6 units before. Its cause is not yet known, though the latest Android 5.1.1 update might have something to do with all this.

Samsung Mobile Arabia has it that the company is "working on the issue", and advises affected users to backup their data and then format their handsets in order to fix the problem. Multiple Galaxy S6 owners are reporting that this does indeed bring back the missing toggles.

Hopefully, it won't be long until Samsung manages to fix this unusual bug. Do you have a Galaxy S6 or S6 edge? If yes, are all your quick settings toggles where they should be?

Let's see how quickly Sammy fixes this issue and admit it.

Based on the above, Samsung Mobile Arabia says they are working on it, so they must know about it. Honestly I didn't even notice, because I dont turn off the mobile data usually. But yes I purposely went and checked and yes, no Mobile Data, no private mode or the one for Mobile Hotspot. For Hotspot I normally click Verizon's icon anyways which brings you to it in the settings. Let me backup and see what happens

Beauty of Android: OEM specific bugs IN ADDITION to the common ones.

Last time I check, all phones have bugs. At least Samsung hasn't ever accused their customers as being the cause of them. #justsayin'

Sounds like it's software related to that specific region. I'm running 5.1.1 and I haven't encountered this issue.

If something is missing then I didn't notice it out of the gate.

I can confirm this. The data toggle is missing on my G925F Edge, and my wife as well as my brother's G920F S6. I am not worried about it though, what really got me worried the early reports about the 5.1.1 update and how it won't solve the poor ram management found on the S6 and S6 Edge. And if this is the case, i might really consider going back to the Note 4.

Me too. I thought it was only my unit. I also have G925F. What I do in the meantime is I use the sleep button long press to get a shortcut.

I haven't experienced the issues on my s6 that have been publicly highlighted e.g ram issues, missing toggles, purple pixels on screen... However each time I disable my Google now and voice record app, they reappear enabled in my app lis!

Bit late on this article, been waiting on this one for at least a week. I have countless toggles missing and have contacted samsung many times about it with no reply. I've read all users solutions whixh involve factory reset and works for a short time untill toggles go missing again, so no point in that. Can only wait until samsung release a fix.

I think you may tried to access them from lock screen, it's a default setting by lollipop to hide some toggles in lock screen to avoid access by others such as data, locaton and hotspot.

Bad research before write the aticle and misleading. This is lollipop "feature" and affects Nexus devices too and others with lollipop installed. Unused toogles will be removed after 31 days and data toogle dissapearing can be bad written code by google or Samsung.https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/2mrnbk/psa_quick_settings_on_lollipop_if_not_used_will
