Samsung reports 5 million Galaxy Note 3s shipped in a month
In just a month time, the Galaxy Note 3 sales have ballooned to the 5 million mark, Samsung boasted at a meeting with reporters. The third edition of the phablet that started it all went on sale September 25th in more than 140 countries, and hit US carriers about a week after, so it's been roughly a month of sales.

For the 30-day mark, Samsung Mobile's chief has apparently made a press conference to reiterate the success of the Note 3, where the 5 million number was announced. It is not clear if he meant shipped or sold, but in any case it seems that Samsung might have another hit on its hand with the S Pen-wielding phablet.

Besides the improved stylus in question, the Note 3 features top-notch specs, including the record 3 GB of RAM and a 5.7" Super AMOLED Full HD display, so there is plenty to expect from it, and users have apparently appreciated the effort.

Cause apparently people don't ever go to a place where there is sunlight, according to you. A phone is useless if you cant see the screen outside. I am a supporter of all OEMS cause i like to see advancements in all areas but if people end up blindly going for a company then they are not seeing the bigger picture. Loyalty will do you no good as a consumer in the modern market.

I never said the note 3 was bad at all. All is said was that the outdoor screen visibility enhancement should be supported not brought down so you could say "oh samsung is the best!" Please learn to read before you start attacking people just because they have different views to you.

True I don't but needed something for productivity because I was sick of carrying around my tablet everywhere. Like it or not the note 3 is tops in that area.. they got rid of the hyperglaze so I jumped. Love my 1020 too

Those are usually Apple fans who monitor Apple's sold (to carrier) numbers. They don't understand supply and demand in economics, otherwise they would know that shipped is a number usually close to sales. Because no one orders a product....if it isn't selling.

all 5 million units are already sold in the market not just shipped samsung only shipped their flagships based on demands so they already got all the profits from the 5 miilion galaxy note 3

I think this number is alil bit disappointing for samsung.. samsung needs a flagship for holiday season and it seems note 3 cant capture all the customers they expect.. may be its about its huge size.. samsung needs to do something for holiday season.. its not 2012 when nobody released anything better than S3 and note 2..

5 million a month is disappointing? Seriously? Name a phone that sold over 5 million the first month besides Galaxy models and iPhones. I'll wait all day.

did you read? or just attack after seeing a word "Disappointing"... Ive said FOR SAMSUNG .. samsung has only one flagship right now and its a phablet.. with billions of marketing budget (seriously , BILLIONS of marketing only for Note 3) and market move toward bigger screens, I expect to see iphone numbers for ANDROID flagship.. 5 million in one month isnt bad or even mediocre by any means.. its just not a huge success and ROI for samsung investment.. iphone sales are totally irrelevant because firstly its not even comparable in terms of numbers( 9 million in 3 days VS 5 million in 30 days? ) secondly its a ONE CHOICE ecosystem.. I must add.. its very common that next generation product sell more at first , but usually it cann't keep up the gap and sometimes overall they even sell less than their previous generation . just like Movies.. so believe me for samsung executives , 40 million S4 and 5 million note 3 doesn't count as pure success. they expect so much more(just like 100 million sales claim for S4)

Samsung has always been up on sales these days, but they should keep watching their back because Nokia too is coming up

It´s different than just cameraphones of Nokia. Note 3 is a beast !

Depends what you want out of a phone. Don't be so quick to judge a Nokia phon e without owning a 1020 or above. I have both a note 3 and a 1020 and both have great things going for them and I'm sure the 1520 will be even better.

That's tough.. i prefer the feel of wp8 but prefer the note 3 for what it offers.
