Samsung aims to sell 700,000 Galaxy Note 8 phones on its home turf in the first month

Samsung has big plans for its big flagship, the Galaxy Note 8. The South Korean handset vendor recently admitted that it expects to sell more than 11 million Note 8 units, but that the final number could be adjusted since it wants to continue to sell Galaxy S8 phones.

Today, Samsung said its marketing plans include the sale of 700,000 Galaxy Note 8 phablets in South Korea during the first month. In order to accomplish the achievement, Samsung will supply major Korean carriers like SK Telecom, KT, and LG U Plus with the necessary number of phones (60% Galaxy Note 8 64GB models and 40% 256GB variants) in late August.

South Koreans will be able to choose the color of their Galaxy Note 8 phones as well, not just the storage capacity. Samsung is expected to bring 40% Deep Cyan Blue, 30% Midnight Black, and 30% Orchid Gray Galaxy Note 8 64GB units, as well as 60% Deep Blue and 40% Midnight Black of 256GB models.

As some of you have probably noticed, Samsung did not say anything about the 128GB model or the Maple Gold version of the Note 8, which might not be available for purchase in South Korea, at least in the first month.

They'll probably smash that target, they pulled some real damage control out of their arse and now most Note fans there will probably want something new as I reckon the majority have a Note 5 or S7.

Who the hell in their right mind set will buy this brick of an ugly overpriced phone when there are great alternative options right there....?? LG V30 is the best device right now in the market and even the normal S8 is worth the money than this hideous looking s**tty phone. With the great iPhone 8 around the corner no one would buy this fraudulent smartphone and waste their money.

Really? So when the iPhone appears at $1000 they should according to you, buy a phone with old tech for $1000 vs a phone with 2017/2018 tech for $1000? You have today sealed the deal to be the most ignorant stupid trolling fool in the total world of tech. Congrats, you are more stupid than CNOUR and KIKO and the rest of the delusional idiots on this site who only have troll accounts.

Your boyfriend unbox therapy agrees with him. I've seen you post videos of him as "proof". https://youtu.be/_gEjmghHkD8 $650 Galaxy S8+ or $930 Note 8...hmmmm.

I'm fascinated at the number of people who now believe the cost of a device should be considered when buying a device. Some are the same people who believe that only poor people (or "lower caste" or "lower ilk" - see Apple-Rulz) should consider cost. I thought Android users were just poor people. But apparently, they are people who are thoughtful in considering value. Oh well, thanks for pointing out the benefits of a manufacturer having devices at multiple price points, and people have to consider the value of OIS on 2 cameras, s pen, 6 gb ram, automatic multi window applications, slightly larger screen, etc. Either way, I doubt Samsung will cry if someone chooses to buy a Galaxy s8 plus. You're the man, Broseph.

Gonna be touch after selling over a million S8's and they brought back the Note 7 which people in Korea also purchased. But good luck with it. I am sure there are 1M+ people in Korea that can afford this phone, but that doesn't mean they will buy.
