Samsung aims to sell 700,000 Galaxy Note 8 phones on its home turf in the first month

Samsung has big plans for its big flagship, the Galaxy Note 8. The South Korean handset vendor recently admitted that it expects to sell more than 11 million Note 8 units, but that the final number could be adjusted since it wants to continue to sell Galaxy S8 phones.

Today, Samsung said its marketing plans include the sale of 700,000 Galaxy Note 8 phablets in South Korea during the first month. In order to accomplish the achievement, Samsung will supply major Korean carriers like SK Telecom, KT, and LG U Plus with the necessary number of phones (60% Galaxy Note 8 64GB models and 40% 256GB variants) in late August.

South Koreans will be able to choose the color of their Galaxy Note 8 phones as well, not just the storage capacity. Samsung is expected to bring 40% Deep Cyan Blue, 30% Midnight Black, and 30% Orchid Gray Galaxy Note 8 64GB units, as well as 60% Deep Blue and 40% Midnight Black of 256GB models.

As some of you have probably noticed, Samsung did not say anything about the 128GB model or the Maple Gold version of the Note 8, which might not be available for purchase in South Korea, at least in the first month.
