Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in the U.S.

The 8.0-inch version of the Galaxy Tab S2 is the next tablet in the United States to receive the long-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update. Last week, T-Mobile and Verizon pushed their own Nougat updates for the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, so it kind of makes sense for the smaller variant to get the update as well.

If you own the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 with model number SM-T713, then your tablet is eligible for Android 7.0 Nougat. The update is pushed by Samsung and weighs in at around 1.2GB, so make sure you have enough free internal memory before attempting to download it.

Along with the usual new features and improvements included in Android 7.0 Nougat, the update also brings the April security patch. In any case, since the update is rolled out OTA in waves, it might take a few day to reach all Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 units.

Unfortunately, it's hard to tell when exactly the 9.7-inch version with model number SM-T813 will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update, but it shouldn't be delayed too much since its smaller sister has just started to receive it.
