Samsung Galaxy S6 appears on KNOX video?

Samsung Galaxy S6 appears on KNOX video?
Last month, we showed you what was allegedly a photograph of the Samsung Galaxy S6 in working condition. Now, one of our eagle-eyed readers has spotted what appears to be the same device on a video posted by Samsung Electronics' official blog. The video describes how to set-up the My KNOX app, found in the Google Play Store, on your Samsung handset.

We can't say for sure that this is Sammy's next flagship, but we can point out the thin bezels on the device. It also would appear that this model does employ some metal in its build. We've seen rumors about a "half-metal" version of Samsung's next flagship. There is also speculation about a version of the Galaxy S6 featuring a dual-edged curved display.

Earlier this morning, we passed along the latest rumor which has Samsung displaying several variants of the phone at CES, but only to certain partners. As usual when dealing with popular flagship phones, the mystery and the drama remains high until the unit is officially unveiled. With that in mind, it's back to the salt mines and as soon as we hear something new, we will pass it along to you.

Thanks for the tip, Jaromir!

It is clearly the S4 but with an added finger scanner,

I don't think it's gs6 it's just gs5 wider screen plus Samsung isn't stupid they seen the back lash from gs5 looking the same this would be suicide and they also wouldn't show the main phone before a national release on an knox video

Yes, because Samsung is that stupid -.- /s Someone who is paying even slight attention to the new design language of Samsung is going will realize that their design for S6 will be heavily based on design language of Galaxy Alpha and Note4.

I agree. The whole project zero thing is probably just referring to the aluminium material they will apply to the device. Not saying that's a problem. If the GS6 is anywhere close to what was shown in the video plus metal frame I will buy it immediately.

I'm not sure if you know how product design works but companies cannot just radically change their design language in an instant. BMW cannot just change their signature grill. People recognize and identify the grill as BMW's, and its part of the image of the whole company. It's a big enough change for Samsung to apply aluminium materials to their phones. The world changes, but slowly.

Yep dude, samsung is like bmw , they are putting tradition before changing the design completly But it is better that Samsung makes a serie of phones so they wont make galaxys the flaghip phone,if they do that, they can turn the design completly

Dude, people with iPhones have been trying to get that point across for years. Android fanatics keep saying it looks the same. The iPhone has changed, they just keep that classic and iconic look on the top plate. It helps to distinguish it from the gazillion Android, windows, blackberry phones. What's funny about Samsung doing this is that they bashed Apple for doing this, then tuned around and did the same thing.

I will preface this by saying that I'm not invested in what Samsung does with their device. That said, when Samsung says a redesign, I'd expect at least something from the front of the device to look change in any way. The front is what you're going to be looking at 90% of the time. I went from a Droid Maxx to a Droid Turbo, and you can see enough of a difference between the two to call it a redesign. If this is in fact the S6, I'd expect at least something on the front to change. And it doesn't even have to be groundbreaking, but something. Otherwise they essentially have the same design with different back plates. Apple could make changes and still not have to worry about even the front of their device looking like an Android, let alone a BlackBerry or Windows Phone device. It would be no different than a car company changing the exterior, but leaving the interior exactly the same each and every year. And the interior is what you're gonna deal with most of the time. A car company couldn't keep an interior design the same for as long as Apple has kept their front face design.

That's funny, I seem to recall diehard iFans laughing about how Samsung phones haven't changed (despite the fact that they change much more than the typical iPhone year to year)

I would mainly say that, apple gets away with it because samsung releases as many new phones as apple has ever released. The result being a saturation of same design like never before.

They should make it look more like the alpha...the phone in the video looks like an s4 with slimmer bezel.

This is more like the S4 and it's really not much of a change. Samsung has to realize that the problem is not with it's designs only but with the software. Touch-Wiz is loaded with gimmicks that we users don't use. Make something that's different, something that innovative and creative. Enough with gimmicks the market is already saturated. This is why I went back from the Note 3 to the 6 Plus and I'm pretty much happy. Until I find the smartphone that can dethrone the 6 Plus user experience.

You had NOTE 3 and call touchwizz gimmicky...find in the PlayStore apps that can work the same way as touchwizs loaded gimmicks for the Spen. Smartclip, even multiwindow is the best part of touchwizs gimmick??? You as a NOTE 3 user really knows why touchwizz is there loaded, and N3 runs touchwizz flush without any hicups even on stock rom. You probably never had Note 3 (iGeek), iP6+ is a good phone, but even older N3 beats iP6+ hard in term of usability - with TOUCHWIZ on board. What the so creative and inovative on iP6+???

I probably never had a note 3? Are you blind? Did you even check my profile pic? Dude calm down and don't try to convince yourself with something that isn't real. Yes I had a Note 3, running VN ROM and rooted too. I rarely used the S-Pen or Multi-window, even though I had their respective managers because I'm rooted. One more thing, Mr. Judgmental I had an Exynos version of the Note 3, which your dear company Samsung didn't release the processor documentation for limiting my ability to install a wide-range of roms. The 3 GB on the Note 3, were nothing but 1 GB cause the other 2 GB would always be filled for some reason. What is creative and innovative about the iP6+? Simple, the UI and the whole user experience which remains to be matched by ANY I won't say Android but Samsung phone out there.

The problem with the IP6+ is the size. It is a huge device. Other companies can fit a 5.7 inch screen at that body size. The other problem is the bend problem. Of course not every one can bend so easily, but what if you get the wrong one? :P These are only 2 disadvantages, but there are more if we are talking about Iphones.

Well I put my phone in my back pocket, sit on it, I don't put on a cover and I can assure you that my phone is not a millimeter bent. Concerning the size, I have to give it to you there. Note 3 is more comfortable to use, however it feels cheap in hand compared to the 6+

iGeek, appointing yourself as note 3 user don't give you the right to insult every Note 3 user and call every note 3 feature a gimmick. Why don't you just use the device that you like and contribute positively to it. Share tips and guide new user rather than waste time talking negative about device that you don't like. Be positive! Share your knowledge in positive manner for your iPhone 6 rather than talking down on Android and Note. We made a choice to use note just like you an iPhone 6+

Well I didn't insult the Note 3 as a device, I was insulting Touch-Wiz. The Note 3 is a beast, which by the way I still own and I'm not planning to sell anytime soon. I love my Note 3 as much as I dislike Samsung and Touch-Wiz. I just can't get why they didn't release the documentation for the Exynos variant yet, and why the updates for Exynos Variants is painfully slow. Heck, I wish I could run lollipop now and I would carry my Note 3 again. My comment was against Touch-Wiz, which most Android users agree on the fact that it is effing badand laggy. The reason I posted was to express my frustration concerning this issue that is killing Samsung phones experience. If Samsung eradicated this issue from its roots I'd happily buy a Sammy again :)

I do remember reading about 2 days ago I report and from South Korea that samsung had done a major overhaul on touchwiz they lightened it up and took out most bloatware and it should run almost two to three times faster than the current TouchWiz

I love those gimmicky features and that's why I bought Samsung devices. It seem like others are taking these gimmicky features one by one every year.

I am not sure about this...To leak a device before the CES announcement feels like a stupid move by Samsung. Maybe they are teasing us, giving us fake leaks on purpose, so we think it is going to be same design all around, and when the announcement comes, BAM! Completely different than all the leaks. I would love that.

Teasing us? Same thing was said about the Xperia Z3 before it got announced, and when the announcement came, BAM! 95% similar to the old Z2 and Z1. Yeah, Sony and Samsung may be different, but just don't go for the they're-teasing-us-by-giving-us-fake-leaks-when-it's-gonna-be-the-same cliché.
