Galaxy S10 leak supports previous camera & design info, details accessories
Samsung Galaxy S10+ concept render

With around six weeks to go until the Galaxy S10’s debut, new pieces of information now lend further credence to the past camera and design rumors. Moreover, extra details about the included accessories have been provided too.

As previously revealed, all Galaxy S10 models will make their debut with improved versions of the Galaxy S9's primary 12-megapixel variable aperture camera. Once again, this will support autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS), two features that should improve the quality of 4K video capture. Additionally, the main camera should support Super Slow-Mo video capture, although it’s unclear if any improvements will be introduced – in its current state, a 0.4s burst can be recorded at 720p. Also expected is Bright Night, which will improve low-light photography drastically, and Stage Lighting support which will act as a direct competitor to Apple’s portrait mode.

This primary sensor will be accompanied by a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera, allowing users to capture much more in their images. Unfortunately, neither autofocus or OIS is supported. As an added bonus for the larger Galaxy S10+ model, a third 13-megapixel camera complete with a telephoto lens is to be featured. Unlike the wide-angle alternative, though, this will support both autofocus and OIS.

Moving away from photography and onto the lineup’s design, the leak in question points towards equally-sized top and side bezels and a slightly thicker chin. Alongside this, Samsung has made a few changes to the smartphone’s frame.

For one, the matte finish found on the Galaxy S9 series has been replaced with a Galaxy S8-like glossy one. Furthermore, the open hole speaker grill has been replaced with multiple slits, as seen previously on the Galaxy Note 9. This time around, though, there are reportedly five cutouts rather than 4. On the larger Galaxy S10+, the power key has been placed much higher too. The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10E, on the other hand, feature lower placements. The latter model’s side-mounted fingerprint scanner was also referenced.

Completing the visual aspects of these devices will be Galaxy Note 9-like Infinity Wallpapers and the navigation bar set as default, rather than Samsung’s gesture-based interface.

Moving on to the final facet of this leak, it appears Samsung is preparing to bundle a revised version of its AKG earbuds in the box. Presently, it’s unclear if the hardware has been improved but the color has been changed and a new logo is also featured on the side.

Another accessory included within the box is the fast charger. This time around, its capacity will be at least 20W and it’ll sport a matte black (everything) finish rather than the usual glossy black finish.
