Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is on the way, certification confirms

In actual fact, the smartphone will launch as the Galaxy A7 (2018). This explains the benchmark listing from way back in July that listed the Exynos 7885 – if Samsung was indeed preparing a successor to the A8+, it would presumably include the newer Exynos 9610. After all, the Exynos 7885 is already present inside the current A8+. Elsewhere on the spec sheet, 4GB of RAM was on board last time and will presumably be coupled with 64GB of internal storage. Moreover, Android 8.1 Oreo was listed but, following the release of Android 9 Pie last month, Samsung will hopefully update the software ahead of release.

Design-wise, not much is known about the smartphone but it’s safe to assume that an Infinity Display will be present. Likewise, following in the footsteps of the Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy A8+, a dual-camera is a strong possibility. However, it’ll remain to be seen if Samsung chooses to replicate the glass construction of the latter or the aluminum body of the former.

Considering the recent stream of certifications, it seems likely that the Galaxy A7 (2018) will make its first official appearance sometime next month. At this point in time, though, there is yet to be any official confirmation.
