Rumors about Motorola ROKR E2 iTunes phone

There have been speculations as well as some pictures floating on the Net in the past several days of a new iTunes-enabled music phone from Motorola - ROKR E2. According to AppleInsider Motorola unveiled some details and photo of the device in a presentation to investors last month. There are, however, some discrepancied between the article of the AppleInsider and the recently published article of BusinessWeek in respect of the design of the handset. According to BusinessWeek the new ROKR will have a slide form factor and will feature a 1 megapixel camera, a 3.5 millimeter earphone jack ands storage capacity for 1,000 songs. A photo, published by AppleInsider, however, reveals the ROKR E2 as sporting Motorola's PEBL bar design. On the other hand this photo doesn't look very genuine and looks more like a photoshop job, so in other words we can't be sure wether to expect a slider or bar-designed phone. AppleInsider also suggests that the new version of the ROKR will feature a Bluetooth stereo headset, UMTS support and USB2. Both sources claim that Motorola plans to introduce the ROKR E2 in the first quarter of 2006.
