Rumored Hasselblad MotoMod incoming? Lenovo teases new smartphone camera experience
Teasers – you either love them or hate them. They either build up hype about things to come, or fuel rage among the crowds of impatient tech enthusiasts. Whichever side you're on, however, you will definitely be curious to know what Lenovo could be working on in its workshop.

"We're also taking the smartphone camera experience to a whole new level," said Seang Chau, SVP of Software Engineering at Motorola, during the announcement of the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. "More to come on that," he added, revealing no further information.

While all of this may sound vague, even cryptic, we think we know what Mr Chau's teaser is about. We've been hearing rumors revolving around a Hasselblad-branded camera attachment for the Moto Z. While one wasn't among the MotoMods shown off during the event, it could still be in development and scheduled to launch at a later time.

If it turns out to be real, the rumored Hasselblad attachment may bypass the Moto Z's camera completely and use its own camera sensor to take photos, along with a 10x optical zoom lens. Or at least that's the prediction we can make, looking at this image leaked by Evan Blass a couple of weeks ago. A dedicated camera button and a xenon flash are clearly visible as well. But since it is expected to carry the Hasselblad logo, the accessory isn't likely to be cheap. The company's products are oriented towards professionals, and its flagship cameras command 5-digit numbers.
