Roofbot is the free iOS app of the week
Every week, Apple selects one paid app from the App Store that it offers to iOS users at no cost for one week. This week's free app is Roofbot, a puzzle game that has a seemingly simple objective of placing the proper color ball into the proper slot. Sounds easy enough, right? But these slots are located on top of roofs, each with a different architecture that makes your task much harder than it sounds. As the preview page says, "Every step you take may lead you closer to the goal, or trap you on the roof forever."
Android users don't have to be jealous. Roofbot is also available from the Google Play Store for free. Both iOS and Android versions of the game offer hints that you can buy in the form of in-app purchases that range from 99 cents to $44.99.
Playing the game, regardless of which platform you prefer, requires you to simply swipe in the direction that you want to go. You can see the game in action by viewing the trailer, which we embedded for you at the top of this story.
