Rogers says it's the end of the line for the Samsung GALAXY Note and some others
Canadian carrier Rogers has added some new hot smartphones to its lineup, and at the same time it has moved some once hot new prospects to the EOL list to die with dignity. The EOL list, or End of Life list, is where carriers put the devices whose inventory won't be or can't be replenished. According to a source for Mobile Syrup, the Rogers EOL list will soon add the HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung GALAXY Note, Sony Xperia T, HTC Desire C, LG Optimus L7,Samsung Galaxy S III (32GB) and the BlackBerry Curve 9360. Despite the EOL designation, any future OS updates will be sent to the phone.

This month, a number of new big shots will be joining the Rogers line up. Already available for $124.99 is the Sony Xperia ZL, the most compact 5 inch FHD phone that you can buy. Coming later this month is the absolutely drop-dead gorgeousHTC One, which is priced at $149.99 with a signed three-year pact; the QWERTY enabled BlackBerry Q10 priced at $199.99 with a signed three-year contract and the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Ah yes, the circle of life. Today's new hot phone is tomorrow's broken down EOL'er. That's right, even the HTC One will look like Edison's original phonograph and the Apple iPhone 5 will one day look like the Motorola ROKR E1 from which it is descendant from.
