Report: Elephone P9000 flagship will be compatible with U.S. and Canadian 4G LTE bands
The Elephone P9000 is the manufacturer's flagship phone. Unlike many of the handsets produced by smaller Chinese smartphone producers, Elephone has reportedly confirmed that this device will support 4G LTE bands in the U.S. and Canada. Which means that those in North America who find this phone appealing, will be able to purchase it and use it as their daily driver.

So what do you get with the Elephone P9000? How about a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. A MediaTek Helio P10 chipset will be under the hood, and the model will feature 4GB of RAM . There will be a 21MP snapper on the back, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a Type-C USB port on the bottom of the phone.

Back during the summer, the Elephone P9000 was rumored to be launching in the fourth quarter. It appears that the handset could be released in that timeframe. We should be hearing more information about the phone, including full specs and pricing, in the not too distant future.

Don't lump Canada in with the US. Most Chinese phones can already be used on LTE in Canada. That's because two of the biggest carriers (Bell & Rogers) have LTE band 7 (2600) which nearly all LTE/4G Chinese phones have. For instance, I am using the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 in Canada on LTE band 7 but it is not compatible with any US carrier's LTE bands.

Why do the always show these promo shots with virtually none existing side bezels and then when the phone comes out - it's got bezels, sometimes worse than older phones...

and what's the obsession with thin bezels?

Looks nice, feels modern, bigger screen footprint per phone overall size.... pick one. But that's not what my point was about.

It is a 28nm mid tier with 4x2GHz A53 + 4x 1.1GHz A53. Greatly optimized for Power and supposed to target low mid end phones. Also brings LTE Cat 6 + CA (carrier aggregation) to the target market. Anandtech seems to think that there is legacy CDMA compatibility (C2K in the spec sheet) But in Mediatek's own press release it is missing.-expands-its-flagship-mediatek-helio-processor-family-with-the-p-series-offering-premium-performance-for-super-slim-designs/ Considering how proud they were bleating C2K compatibility in case of their recent cores like MT6753, MT6735rtphone1/mt6753rtphone1/mt6735
