'Really Blue' Pixel and Pixel XL sold out at the Google Store

As you may have seen, Google's new Pixel and Pixel XL are available in three colors -- all of which have been given rather quirky monikers. There's Quite Black, Very Silver and Really Blue, with the latter offering a bright, vibrant finish quite unlike most other smartphones. Like Apple's Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus, the shiny newness seems to have really caught the attention of early adopters and already, the blue Pixel and Pixel are Really Sold Out.

Well, actually, they're only quite sold out at this point. You can't currently buy either at the Google Store in blue, but U.S. customers can still score the devices through the Verizon website for the time being. Similarly, a number of carriers across the world are offering the new Pixel Duo, so all hope is not yet lost if you are seeking this particular variant.

The past few hours have been pretty manic and if you haven't yet caught your bearings, check out our quick round-up of the two new devices, along with the price and release details. To help you decide whether the Pixel or Pixel XL may be right for you, we've also outlined a few reasons why you should keep the Google Pixel / XL on your radar. In the name of balance, along with one or two things that Google could have included to make its new range even better.

Is the Really Blue model your favorite? Let us know if you're impressed by the popular shade in the comments below.

It didn't even come to Canada. So how could it be sold out already. The Limited blue most be in the states, only.

So they want to give off the idea that it sold well?

If I were to purchase one it would be this color as well. I feel it's priced higher than it should be for some missing features (ois and water resistance).

The iPhone for years cost the same price and had neither. Starting $649 to each their own

The iphone has something called brand and goodwill. Helps to know what you are talking about.

I'm writing this from an iPhone...even so he's justifying iPhone pricing when those said features were just implemented on the iPhone 7

I don't care about past years.. I'm saying THIS year in its flagship price range shouldn't be missing what others are offering.

"Really Blue" is kinda a weird labeling of that color. Anyways, what matters is it's performance. Come on, Oct. 20 already!

I like the design but that blue is a bit ugly, red would of been better

I like the silver. If I get this, it'll be in that color.

Oh please... Dun try to pull an Apple here. What Apple does, it works. Can't say the same for Google. Not the first time they claimed they sold out on Nexus devices only to hear they only sold modestly. Two months later, we'll see reports saying the phones have flopped and aren't selling well. Google will drop the price by $200 off contract

What likely is the inventory that this version sold out already? 10? 50? 100?

Wow. £719 for the 32GB XL. I think i'll keep my LG G5 which cost £399 if its all the same. Doesn't feel like we'll ever get back to the glorious days of the Nexus 5. What a phone that was.
