Pantech might be in dire straits right now, but that hasn't stopped it from churning out innovative handsets. From the phone maker that first came out with a gesture-based touchless navigation, and a glass ceramic chassis for its phones, now arrives an eventual Note 4 competitor, at least for its home turf of South Korea. The so-called Pantech Vega Pop Up Note, codenamed A920S, is a 5.5" phablet with decent specs and fine looks.

Pantech didn't jump for the latest and greatest here, but put a 1080p panel instead, alongside a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 13 MP rear camera. This likely means that the upcoming Vega Pop Up Note won't break the bank for you, yet you will be getting quite a looker with a stylus added for a good measure, and a fancy fingerprint sensor on the back where it belongs on a phablet, for unlocking and identification purposes. What do you think of Pantech's new gear, yea or nay?
