Nova Launcher becomes one of the most popular Android launchers, hits 50 million downloads

We knew Nova Launcher is among the most popular Android launchers, but starting this week, the app has become even more popular. The beta version of the Nova Launcher has just reached more than 50 million downloads in the Google Play Store, an impressive achievement that wouldn't have been possible without the support from the developers.

It looks like having a solid beta program and listening to what users want from your app has proven to be the winning formula for Nova Launcher.

TeslaCoil's Nova Launcher is available for free, but a paid version can be downloaded via Google Play Store as well. The latter brings a host of premium features that are not included in the free version.

In case you haven't yet used Nova Launcher, the Android app that allows you to customize your smartphone's launcher with different styles, icons, layouts, gestures, and styles. More importantly, you get to use most of its features for free and if you like it, you can purchase the Nova Launcher Prime to benefit from the full experience.

I use this over stock Android on all of my last three Nexus phones. Best Android launcher bar none.

Definitely the best launcher, and the Prime version is packed with features and tricks that stock Android can only dream of.

un-Andriod your device? This is what Android is all about - making the phone your own.

What I mean is make it look like an entirely different OS from the surface. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=windowsredesignklwp.kustom.pack

I'm not using thrid-party launchers, for the simple fact I don't wanna pretend that I use vanilla Android when I'm not

"or the simple fact I don't wanna pretend that I use vanilla Android when I'm not" Not all launchers are akin to vanilla Android. Nova and Apex are far from stock Android.

What vanilla android mean? anyway I'm over with feature packed launcher, I prefer simple launcher without customizations. Like pixel laucher root.

Not about feature packed.... It's about smoothness and the features that enable you to design, and customize your own launch screens.

It shows the price of $5.99 & not $0.99 on the Play Store. Can anyone advise why?

I feel like this title is wrong for the article. I'm pretty sure that Nova Launcher has been the most popular for a long time!

Off topic, but I didn't know, that Bixby currently does 3,000 voice commands. That's sick.

Nova Prime is a must have for me. I've been installing it on every phone for years. It's just the best you can get.

"One of the most..." doesn't sound right. It must be "the most..."

Nova Launcher is awesome! Replaced my Moto launcher with Nova and I love it. It allows me my minimalist home screen yet I can customize all kinds of things. Feel sorry for iOS users lmao....
