Nokia says existing Lumia handsets will be pimped out with new features, gives the juicy details
It's all Lumia 920 and 820 in the news lately, but Nokia announced today that a bunch of new features will be gradually coming to owners of its current Lumia range, the 610, 710, 800 and 900, too. In a reassuring post, the Finns confirmed that those current devices will be getting the best of what Windows Phone can offer, tailored for the hardware, of course.

Apart from the Internet Sharing, Flip-to-Silence and the Camera Extras pack that were recently released, the Nokia City Lens augmented reality app is now available for download in the Marketplace for all of the above except the Lumia 610, and also Nokia Counters will help you keep track of your mobile data usage.

As for the upcoming goodies, Nokia will bring Cinemagraph and an updated Smart Group Shot plus "additional surprises" for current Lumia owners, that will help them snap and share images better. Further down the pipeline are the following features:

All these will be rolled out gradually in phases, and will eventually reach all Nokia Lumia 610, 710, 800 and 900 owners, who might have felt left out in the cold with Microsoft's decision to completely rewrite Windows Phone for the new WP8 handsets, to match the kernel with the one used for its Windows franchise.
