Nokia Belle FP1 arriving on Nokia 603, 700, 701, but older Symbian devices won’t get it
The Nokia Belle Feature Pack 1 (FP1) is the version of Symbian^3 you get on the latest Nokia 808 PureView, and it comes with some significant improvements when it comes to the entertainment options on the platform including Dolby surround sound, an improved browser and new maps.

Nokia has just confirmed that the Nokia 603, Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701 will all get updated to FP1 which will bring not only the pure software improvements, but will also tweak the clock speed of the processor up from 1GHz to 1.3GHz. The browser will also get faster rendering HTML5.

The Nokia N8, E7 and older devices however won’t benefit from the feature pack, and it’s not clear how Nokia will proceed with future updates for those devices. The key word there is hardware, which is limiting the otherwise open options.
