New Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 leak offers a closer look at the phone's display

We're just one week away from the official reveal of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, another mildly interesting flagship smartphone making its debut in the second half of the year. The device is supposed to be unveiled on September 11, one day ahead of Apple's big launch event.

However, the Mi Mix 2 is more important to the Asian market, as Xiaomi is unlikely to launch the phablet outside China and, maybe, India. Nevertheless, since it's one of those devices that benefits from the “wow” factor, the Mi Mix 2 will probably sell very well even outside China through unofficial channels.

Earlier today, Qualcomm confirmed the Mi Mix 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, even though previous rumors suggested the phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 836 SoC.

We now have a few more pictures showing the phone's display 2.0. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to have a very high screen-to-body ratio, just like the predecessor. However, it remains to be seen whether or not Xiaomi will opt for a full HD or Quad HD display.

The bezel-less phablet will boast a huge display (possibly 6.4-inch), but a dual-camera setup might be included as well. Other highlights of the Mi Mix 2 include either 4GB or 6GB RAM, 13-megapixel selfie camera and 128GB internal memory.
