Motorola's Polaroid Insta-Share Printer moto mod goes official, priced to sell at $200

Last month news about an unannounced moto mod called Polaroid Insta-Share Printer made headlines. Today, the US-based company has taken the wraps off the previously rumored Moto Mod.

Starting this week, the Polaroid Insta-Share Printer moto mod will be available for purchase at Verizon for $200. Motorola also announced it will go on sale in other markets globally “in the coming months.”

As the name suggests, the moto mod can be attached to a compatible Motorola smartphone and used to print the pictures taken with the phone's camera while on the go. Simply take the picture and then print it right from whatever Motorola smartphone you're using.

Also, the Polaroid Insta-Share Printer allows users to print their favorite pictures from Facebook, Instagram and Google Photos. You can even customize the photos with filters, borders, and text before printing them.

The moto mod users Polaroid Premium ZINK Zero-Ink Paper, so the photos will be printed in a 2x3'' smudge-proof format. Moreover, you can stick your pictures to just about any surface after peeling off the adhesive back.

Mods will eventually fade away. IMHO.

So long as they remain proprietary instead of using standard OTG, they're a definite no go for me. BTW, there's already portable OTG printers, so, not missing out on anything:

um my wife has one of these portable printers that prints over bluetooth and it's nowhere near the 200 bucks they're asking for

@Omarc07 - Just don't expect high quality photos. They're great at parties though

To expensive they have a good ideal but the price is a deterrent for me, especially when there are dedicated devices that do it better for a cheaper price
