Meizu MX6 smiles for the camera offering an uncanny resemblance to the Meizu Pro 6
Just yesterday we told you to expect the Meizu MX6 to be unveiled on July 19th. Invitations sent out by the manufacturer revealed that there will be an event held on that date, and we expect to see the MX6 made official. Today, back and front photos of the handset surfaced on Weibo. The phone will be equipped with a 5.5-inch screen, carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Under the hood you'll find a MediaTek Helio X20 MTK6797 chipset with a deca-core CPU, and the Mali-T880 GPU.

The Meizu MX6 will come with 4GB of RAM with 32GB/64GB of native storage. A 12MP camera graces the back of the phone while a 5MP snapper adorns the front of the device. There is no question that the phone looks very much like the Meizu Pro 6. The latter is Meizu's flagship phone while the MX6 could be considered the manufacturer's phablet model.

Meizu apparently plans to price the device competitively. The 32GB version of the Meizu MX6 could be tagged at $295 USD, while the 64GB model might fetch $305 USD. We will know for sure on the 19th.

Thanks for the tip!

I've always wanted to try a Meizu device. I hear they run flawlessly, even with the heavy Android skin they use. I just don't know where to get one here in the States. Does anyone know where I can get one imported?

The only chinese phones i ever recommend are Meizu. Not cause of being better than the competition but because their audio chips are extremely potent as well as being powerful.
